Trim stems: Cut 1–2 cm off the stems at a 45° angle using sharp scissors or a knife.
Remove lower leaves: Strip off any leaves that will be below the waterline to prevent bacteria growth.

Select a clean vase that is the appropriate size for your arrangement. The vase should be free of dirt and bacteria.

Fresh, cool water: Fill the vase with clean, room-temperature water.
Add flower food: Mix according to instructions. (Tip: Change the water every 2 days.)
