Begonia soli-mutata is an evergreen, creeping, rhizomatous perennial mostly grown for its spectacular foliage of heart-shaped, dark green leaves adorned with lime green radiating veins and scarlet edges. Soli-mutata means “sun change”, its leaves change color depending on the light intensity. The more lights the plant receives, the more its dark green leaves with lime green veins turn red.
Secret of Success :
- Prefers bright indirect sunlight. Avoid strong direct sunlight.- Enjoys damp and well-draining soil.
- Allow soil to dry out in between waterings.
- The plant requires more than 50% humidity in order to thrive.
- Fertilise lightly during the growing season.
