☀️ Light

  • Requires full sun to bright indirect light

  • Indoors: place near a south-facing window

  • Outdoors: choose a sunny, sheltered spot for best growth

💧 Watering

  • Keep soil consistently moist, especially during active growth

  • Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of soil is dry

  • Avoid soggy soil – ensure excellent drainage

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

  • Optimal temp: 22–30°C (72–86°F)

  • Loves high humidity – mist frequently or place near a humidifier indoors

  • Protect from frost and cold winds – not cold-tolerant

🌱 Soil & Fertilizer

  • Use rich, organic, well-draining soil

  • Feed biweekly during spring and summer with a high-nitrogen fertilizer

  • Add compost or slow-release fertilizer in early spring

🍌 Fruiting Tips

  • Needs plenty of sunlight, warmth, and time to fruit (often 9–15 months)

  • Will produce clusters of small, sweet bananas if conditions are right

  • May only fruit once per stem – then new pups grow to continue the cycle

✂️ Care & Maintenance

  • Prune off old, yellowing leaves to keep it neat

  • Remove suckers (baby plants) if you want to control size

  • Or let a few grow to replace the main plant after fruiting
